What to Expect at a Pentecostal Worship Service
Walking into a Pentecostal worship service for the first time can feel like stepping into something unfamiliar. At The Apostolic Church of the Remnant in the Oretta Community, we want you to know what to expect before you arrive. Our gatherings begin with a warm welcome from our people, because we want every guest to feel like family from the first moment.
From there, the service moves into heartfelt singing and worship, followed by prayer and a message from Pastor Arthur Hemmenway. You do not need to know any songs, prayers, or responses ahead of time. You are free to simply sit, listen, and observe. Many newcomers find that they settle in quickly once they hear the music and see the congregation worshiping together.
You do not need to know anything in advance to join us.
Dress in whatever feels comfortable to you. Our Sunday worship begins at 2:00 pm and our Thursday worship at 6:00 pm, both at 289 North St in Singer, LA. If you have questions before coming, you can always reach out to the church and we will be glad to help.
